Jio and Airtel have made preparations
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has approved Airtel’s Eutelsat Oneweb and Jio’s SES satellite internet service to start the service. They just have to wait for spectrum allocation. At the same time, Elon Musk’s company and Amazon have not yet completed the security related compliance. DoT has written a letter related to this to both these companies. Also, the Department of Telecommunications will also send reminders to these companies if the compliance is not completed.

The government is engaged in infrastructure development in the country under the Gatishakti scheme. Satellite internet service is also an important link in this scheme.
