Curated contact list
There is another facility in this WhatsApp feature. It does not contain a comprehensive list of all online contacts. Only a limited number of recent active contacts are visible in this. This curated list helps users select contacts to initiate a call or chat. Reveals who is readily available for communication.
Closing of Accounts
WhatsApp has recently focused on people who are misusing the WhatsApp platform. It banned more than 7.6 million such accounts in India. It is clear that consumer safety is important to them. Of the total banned accounts, 1.4 million were preemptively deleted by WhatsApp. These measures are in line with the IT Rules 2021.
